With almost 60 years in operation, Rosati’s Pizza is one of the oldest surviving family pizza restaurants in the United States with unique franchise opportunities for every entrepreneur. While we started in the Midwest, the Rosati’s Pizza franchise has become a staple in communities across the U.S. Still run by members of the original Rosati family, we stay true to the qualities that got us to where we are today, like real ingredients and outstanding service.

    1895

    Italian immigrant Ferdinand Rosati opens a fine dining Italian restaurant on Coney Island, New York.

    1906

    Ferdinand and his family move to Chicago where they open another restaurant on the famed Taylor Street.

    1927

    Saverio Rosati, Ferdinand’s son, opens an additional restaurant that soon becomes a favorite watering hole for some of Chicago’s most famous politicians, stars and gangsters.

    1964

    Carrying on the tradition of being in the restaurant business, Saverio’s sons open the first Rosati’s Pizza in the suburbs of Chicago.

    1978

    With 10 successful pizzerias throughout the region, the Rosati family decides it is time to share the taste of Chicago with communities everywhere.

    Rosati’s Pizza becomes a franchise with entrepreneurs leaping at the chance to open a restaurant in their communities.

    There are almost 300 Rosati’s restaurants nationally with new opportunities sprouting in markets everywhere.
