Rosati’s sets itself apart from other pizza franchises by refusing to compromise on quality for the sake of growth. In fact, it’ the other way around—it’s the quality of Rosati’s food that has allowed a family of immigrant entrepreneurs to build a successful restaurant franchise that now includes more than 200 locations in 14 states. The building blocks of that quality and success are Rosati’s 87 proprietary ingredients. We use a secret family sauce recipe that uses specific California-grown tomatoes, high-protein dough sourced from Midwestern farms, Wisconsin mozzarella cheese, and sausage made in Chicago, long known as a hub of quality Italian sausage. Those are just a few of the core proprietary ingredients that have bolstered the success of Rosati’s over the years and led to our inclusion in the Pizza Hall of Fame.
Having private-label ingredients that meet a certain quality standard is one thing, but getting those same ingredients into food at 200 locations is another. From the beginning, Rosati’s has been a pioneer of uniform quality at multiple locations, as the original family had already operated some 60 locations before it began officially franchising restaurants in 2005. Today, Rosati’s ensures that each location has a recipe book, and the Rosati family regularly stays in touch with all of its franchisees—a time-tested strategy of inclusion and support that ensures each Rosati’s location remains dedicated to providing the same high-quality experience as the original.
